September News

ACOR will meet on Tuesday, September 5, at 9:30AM in the Island Club for our Annual Business Meeting. All members and newcomers are welcome. On the agenda is nominations and election of the 2017-18 Officers and Board as well as a sneak preview of things to come during our club year.

Our “illustrious instructors” who conduct our classes have been invited to come and tell us what their Fall and Winter lessons will include. You can sign up for the classes at this meeting, but payment is not necessary until the first day of class. Come and see what Vicki, Sue and Kim have planned. It’s always entertaining!

Annual dues of $6 are payable with checks made out to ACOR. And yes, light refreshments will be served. We’re looking forward to seeing you at our meeting and can’t wait to hear about your artistic artwork from your summer.

Pat Cicogna will be the “Artist of the Month” with her work on display in the Oak Run Library.

August News

Many of our members continued with their pursuit of fine art during our long, lazy days of summer. Some traveled far and wide to enjoy painting with Sue Primeau and others worked diligently here at home. We saw ACOR members working on paintings and drawings throughout the summer while others enjoyed a “first time” series by Kim Shields where different types of mediums were explored. Our pencils and our minds were kept sharp and now we’re eagerly awaiting another season of creativity with our fellow artists.

Looking ahead to September, we will be hosting our esteemed instructors at our regular Business Meeting where we will hear what exciting classes they have planned for us this year. Dues are payable at this time ($6, checks made out to ACOR please). There is also the election of officers for 2017-2018 and so much more – even light refreshments! Look for details next month.

At the Oak Run Library our Artist of the Month for August is Lea Vinal.
