ACOR will be celebrating the Holidays with lunch at Royal Oaks on Saturday, December 2, at Noon. All members and their guests are asked to make reservations by Monday November 27. Signup sheets are available during the classes or you may contact Dori Sullivan (phone number in the OR Directory). On the agenda is a brief business meeting, a delicious lunch and door prizes for all members!

Classes in watercolor are ongoing while drawing and acrylic/oils are just about finishing up. There will be another full session in all classes after the holidays. Stay tuned to find out the dates! Class sessions are usually six weeks in each medium and payment for the class is made to the instructor at the first class.

Our artist of the month for November is Genevieve “Gen” Griffiths. You can view her work below or at the Oak Run Library.

The Art Club of Oak Run wants to wish you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving. We are so grateful for your continued support.

October News

We’re on a roll … our classes in acrylic/oils and drawing are well underway and starting in October we have Sue Primeau’s watercolor class; five Wednesday sessions, October 25, November. 8, 15, 29 and December 6. If you haven’t signed up already, please contact Mary Ann Hollars (her phone number is in the OR Directory).

A very special event is planned for Saturday, October 28, at 9:30AM in the Island Club. Watercolorist Peg Lefebvre will demonstrate her exciting techniques for ACOR members (free) and OR guests ($5 per person). Peg comes to us after an award winning career in advertising, followed by numerous awards and exhibitions across the US, Italy and Lithuania. She currently resides part time in Marion County and Passignanon, Italy. Her most recent accomplishment is inclusion of her work in the 2018 Florida Watercolor Society annual convention and show. Be sure to add this demo to your “not-to-be-missed” calendar!

Exhibiting this month in the Oak Run Library is Londy Bracale. Thank you for being our “Artist of the Month”!
